Awards Committee Purpose & Responsibilities

PURPOSE:  The purpose of the Awards Committee is to oversee awards presented by GBAR.

MEMBERSHIP: 

Last 4 REALTOR® of the Year Award winners, willing & available. Last 2 Affiliate of the Year Award Winners, willing & available.  Last 2 Distinguished Service or Distinguished Achievement Award Winners, willing & available.  Last 1 Volunteer of the Year Award Winner or 1 former winner selected by President-elect.   The Chairperson is to be selected from these Members by president-elect.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To review applications for awards sent in by members.
  • To review and approve GBAR Honor Society applications.
  • To review and forward NYSAR Honor Society applications
  • To present certificates for the above.
  • To select award winners from applications.
  • To prepare and present awards.
  • To advise Membership of award winners.
  • To identify the awards categories to be presented
  • To create new awards as needed
  • To revise and restructure applications as needed

REPORTS TO:  Board of Directors

MEETINGS:  As needed

SUBCOMMITTEES:  None

TASK GROUPS:  As needed
