Board Operations Committee Purpose & Responsibilities

PURPOSE:  The purpose of the Board Operations Committee is to identify needs and recommend services to be provided to the Members of the Association and the maintenance of the building & grounds.

MEMBERSHIP:  Membership is open to GBAR REALTOR® members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To suggest and implement methods for the Association to carry out an active program to retain and recruit members.
  • To review changes to documents, and policies pertaining to membership on the local, state and national level.
  • To facilitate special events such as Broome Business Show, Tioga Business Show, etc. whose purpose is to promote the Association to the public.
  • Keep members advised of new policies and procedures adopted by the Association for improving operations.
  • Responsible for determining the policies, positions and events to be funded for the travel budget.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the building and grounds.
  • Responsible for maintaining adequate insurance on the building and contents.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving equipment and services to be used by the Association (i.e. copying machine, postal machine, telephone system, etc.)
