Education Committee Purpose & Responsibilities

PURPOSE:  The purpose of the Education Committee is providing members with current information on educational opportunities available to the real estate professional and the training of new members regarding ethics, bylaws, technology, professionalism and whatever other pertinent information is deemed necessary which will provide those members with the opportunity to achieve the level of knowledge and skill necessary to serve the public with competence and professionalism.

MEMBERSHIP:  Membership is open to GBAR REALTOR® and Affiliate members.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To initiate and implement educational policies
  • To develop and implement programs and activities which will provide members with the opportunity to achieve the level of knowledge and skill necessary to serve the public with competence and professionalism.
  • To provide a budget to the Finance Committee for Education Committee and the Real Estate School .
  • To formulate policy and guidelines for the operation of the Real Estate School .

REPORTS TO:  Board of Directors

MEETINGS:  Monthly

SUBCOMMITTEES:  None

TASK GROUPS:  As needed.
